Dental Implants by Highcliffe Dental Practice

Come see how
dental implants can improve your smile
What are Dental Implants?

Dental Implants are Titanium posts with specially activated surfaces. They are placed (Implanted) in your jawbone to function in a similar way as a natural tooth root. Your bone grows onto the Implant in a process called Osseointegration. After a few months it will form a permanent part of your body.

It's as simple as 1, 2, 3

1. The implant is placed in the bone. Temporary teeth are worn
2. After integration, the implant is exposed and the impression is taken. Temporary teeth can still be worn.
3. After a further week or two, the final teeth are attached. A new life begins.

How much does the
treatment cost?

You will be provided with an accurate estimate of cost after the initial consultation with the implant consultant of your choice. If you do not have any, we can provide recommendations on implant specialists. In general, Implant treatment is not much more expensive than the alternatives (bridges, or regularly replaced dentures).

See our price list for further details. The big difference lies in the long term success. If cared for, your Implant can be with you for the rest of your life. Arrange an Implant consultation and see how Implants can improve your smile

Are implants safe and

how long do they last?

Implants show a success rate of more than 90%, Implants are now one of the most predictable forms of Dental Treatment, in most cases it is a lifelong solution.

Am I suitable?

Xrays and a clinical examination will be needed to ascertain if you have a sufficient quality and quantity of bone. In general, most people are suitable candidates for Implants.

How is the treatment performed?

A small operation under local anaesthetic will be necessary. Implants are usually placed in the Dental Surgery. Some patients do experience one or two days of discomfort after the operation, usually related to stitches.

When choosing to have implant restorations,it is your choice to select an implant specialist for the placement of the implant, as we are only doing the crown part of the implant work, not the actual implant on which the crown /bridge /denture will be fitted on to. If you have no preferred specialist who you would like to use for your implant placement, we have been working with Mr Bharath PUTTUR and our patients have been very satisfied with Bharath's work.  Bharath is currently working Monday to Thursday at The Ackerman clinic in New Milton.
