Dental Implants by Highcliffe Dental Practice

Come see how
dental implants can improve your smile
What are Dental Implants?

Dental Implants are Titanium posts with specially activated surfaces. They are placed (Implanted) in your jawbone to function in a similar way as a natural tooth root. Your bone grows onto the Implant in a process called Osseointegration. After a few months it will form a permanent part of your body.

It's as simple as 1, 2, 3

1. The implant is placed in the bone. Temporary teeth are worn
2. After integration, the implant is exposed and the impression is taken. Temporary teeth can still be worn.
3. After a further week or two, the final teeth are attached. A new life begins.

Who performs the treatment?

I am the Specialist Oral Surgeon who works in conjunction with Highcliffe Dental Practice. Within Oral Surgery my area of excellence is Implantology. I also have numerous other specialisations including Orthognathic surgery and management of Temporo-Mandibular Joint (Jaw Joint) disorders. I attained a Masters Degree in Maxillo-Facial Surgery in 1988, and am an associate member of the International Society of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeons. I have worked in Private Practice for over 20 years and am dedicated to superior quality Dental Implants.

If you are missing any of your natural teeth, Implant Dentistry can provide you with teeth that look and feel like your very own. Permanent replacement teeth can be yours without the embarrassment of loose dentures or having to modify healthy teeth in your mouth in order to place crowns or bridges. Implants will enable you to enjoy the simple pleasures of unrestricted eating whilst improving your appearance cosmetically. Implants can also assist in stabilising loose dentures.

If you have lost all your teeth in one or both jaws, you can choose a permanently anchored dental implant bridge (fixed hybrid-denture) or a removable prosthesis (ball or bar retained overdenture) that is connected to two or more dental implants. This type of overdenture remains in place more firmly than a conventional removable prosthesis.

I enjoy placing Dental Implants and being part of the fantastic transformations that they can produce. An attractive cosmetic smile is possible. With Dental Implants you can have the confidence to pursue an active business and social life. I have placed in excess of 5000 Dental Implants in very satisfied patients. I feel that it is fundamentally important that if you consider having Implants placed then you should be treated by a highly qualified Professional. I am enthusiastic and have the necessary experience. I understand the importance of listening to your needs, being open and honest in my approach, and caring for you whilst ensuring your comfort.
